My Classroom

Here's my classroom reveal! I chose not to do a theme because I wanted to have the flexibility of buying any type of classroom decoration, especially when I find something on sale!
This is looking into my classroom near the doorway area.
To the left of my whiteboard, I have posted my daily classroom schedule, and "mailboxes" for my classroom helpers.  To the right of my Smart board (Yes, I have a Smart board!! I feel very fortunate to have one!) I have my math wall and adjecent to that I have my writing wall.

Classroom helpers

Here's a closer look at my writing wall.  I got these free "Do you have a writer's eye?" posters from The First Grade Parade, which  make my wall look amazing!

See the tiny covered chair on the right? That's my "Queen of the Classroom" chair!  I made a queen cover for it and my kids love it!

Here's a closer look at it!

I use the top part of this wall as a sight words incentive.  This is where I add sight words rainbows as my students pass their sight words lists, which are rainbow color coded.  They love to see their rainbows grow! You can get the packet I use to go along with this wall HERE.  The packet includes a beginning and end of year assessment, rainbow color coded flash cards, and practice lists.

This is how I send home the beginning assessment. I attach a color copy of the sight words lists students didn't pass so that they can practice at home.

This is my sight words wall.

This is where I have my behavior chart and our classroom constitution.  We write our classroom constitution whole class. After we write the rules my students and I sign the poster.

Addition and Subtraction facts wall!

Here's my classroom library area.

I have my desk area next to the classroom library.  I use the board next to my desk to post  important notes and reminders.

This is how I organize my lessons for each day of the week.

Here's my homework club area, which is on the side of the shelf behind my desk.

This is my fluency board. I love it! It's one of my favorite boards in my classroom!

This is my new addition to my classroom. I saw the message on Pinterest on a metal board and loved the message so much that I had it custom made for my classroom!  This is my belief!

My classroom isn't perfect, but it's special and full of love and energy!  Each year, I add a little,  take a little, or change it a little.
